Founders

Alamo Heights was founded in 1922 by a group of local businessmen. They wanted to create a self-governing city that would be separate from San Antonio and give its residents the ability to maintain their own standards for development and quality of life. The city was originally called Olmos Park, but it was renamed Alamo Heights in 1924.
